Payment Options
NOTICE: Past due accounts that are in excess of $100 will be sent to the 'County Auditor' and put on the 'Property Taxes' on a quarterly basis.
Pay at Our Office
You can pay your bill at our office at 602 Seventh St., Room 104 Courthouse, Portsmouth. You can use Cash, Check, Money Order or Credit / Debit Card at our office.
When paying by Credit/Debit Card, Account Balance must be paid in full. No CASH payments accepted after 4:15 PM.
Pay Using our Drop Box
You can pay using our 'Drop Box' which is located in the visitor's parking lot on the west side of the Courthouse. You enter the parking lot from 7th St. and as your are exiting the parking lot onto 6th St. the 'Drop Box' is located to your left. NO CASH PLEASE in the 'Drop Box'. Thank you.
Pay by Phone
You can pay your bill by phone by calling 740-355-8249. You can use a Check, or Credit / Debit Card.
When paying by phone, Account Balance must be paid in full, and a convenience fee is assessed for each phone transaction. This fee does not go to the Sanitary Engineer's Office).
Pay by Mail
If paying by mail make your check or money order (NO CASH) payable to the 'Sanitary Engineer' and mail to: (Mail so that the payment reaches our office before the due date and be sure to include your Account No.)(Free return address labels are now available on Request - Call 740-355-8249. These labels have the 'postal barcode' which should make the return mail faster).
