To Pay on Line

The Sanitary Engineer’s Office is excited to offer our customers an easy and convenient method to view and/or pay your sewer bills online (see fee information below). You are now able to register for our Consumer Portal which will enable you to view your account, make payments, and request changes to your account.

A convenience fee is assessed for each online transaction: (This fee does not go to the Sanitary Engineer’s Office)

For Credit/Debit cards the convenience fee is 3% plus $.50 flat fee, if payment is under $100. (This fee will be figured before final payment is made).
For eChecks the convenience fee is $1.10 flat fee per check. (This fee will be figured before final payment is made).
The convenience fee is non-refundable. If payment is returned for any reason a return fee will be assessed to your account.

Print the Form, then fill out the Form and attach a voided check, and mail it to:

Pay at Our Office

You can pay your bill at our office at 602 Seventh St., Room 104 Courthouse, Portsmouth. You can use Cash, Check, Money Order or Credit / Debit Card at our office. When paying by Credit/Debit Card, Account Balance must be paid in full.

No CASH payments accepted after 4:15 PM.

Pay Using Our Drop Box

You can pay using our ‘Drop Box’ which is located in the visitor’s parking lot on the west side of the Courthouse. You enter the parking lot from 7th St. and as your are exiting the parking lot onto 6th St. the ‘Drop Box’ is located to your left.

NO CASH PLEASE in the ‘Drop Box’. Thank you.

Pay By Phone

You can pay your bill by phone by calling 877-885-7968. You can use a Check, or Credit / Debit Card. When paying by phone a convenience fee is assessed for each phone transaction.

This fee does not go to the Sanitary Engineer’s Office.

Pay By Mail

If paying by mail make your check or money order (NO CASH) payable to the ‘Sanitary Engineer’ and mail to:

Mail payment early so that the payment reaches our office before the due date. Make sure to include your Account No.
