These are the Rules, Regulations, and Specifications for installing a sewer line from your home or business to the Main Sewer Line. Also attached is a list of installers certified by the Scioto County Health Department. (The Sanitary Engineer’s Dept. is not recommending any of these installers but give them as information to you.) Before installing or having a sewer line installed you must come to the Sanitary Engineer’s office at 602 7th St., Room 104 Courthouse and fill out an Application. The tap fee is $450 ($425 for tap Fee $25 inspection fee). If you are a new owner or renter at a home with an existing sewer line, you must come into the office to fill out a new owner/renter application (There is no fee for this application).
